Emily Lange

I’m Emily, a Tennessee native who grew up learning the value of hard work while gardening alongside my dad. I studied architecture at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where I combined design thinking with hands-on skills in woodworking and welding through the school’s fabrication lab. After graduation, I moved to New York City to work as a designer and project manager for Brook Landscape, gaining experience on large-scale, professional projects.

After moving to Salt Lake City, I worked as the Assistant Horticultural Manager at Tracy Aviary and Botanical Garden, gaining hands-on experience caring for diverse, sustainable landscapes and Utah native plants. That plant knowledge, combined with my architectural background, shapes my design approach—resulting in gardens that are thoughtful, functional, and built to thrive.
